Monomoy Girl (G1W)

A BSW/Crow Public Auction Purchase out of the 2016 Keeneland September Sale in Book 3 for $100,000, the Chestnut Filly by Tapizar closed out her 2018 campaign as the obvious and deserving favorite of Eclipse Champion 3yo filly honors. Stringing together an unbelievable campaign of 4 back-to-back G1 victories (G1 Ashland, G1 Kentucky Oaks, G1 Acorn, G1 Coaching Club American Oaks), she put on her biggest show to date with a dominant win in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff in her first test against older fillies and mares. After an 18 month layoff, Monomoy Girl made an emphatic return to the races with a dominant win at CD before following up that effort with a win in the G2 Ruffian in 2020. Monomoy Girl would add another G1 win to her CV with a success in the La Troienne back at CD before becoming the fourth filly or mare to win multiple runnings of the G1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff. The very next day, Monomoy Girl sold through Elite Sales for $9.5 million at Fasig-Tipton’s Night of the Stars to Spendthrift Farm, setting a world record price for a racing/broodmare prospect. Her 2020 campaign saw her earn her second Eclipse Award as she was named Champion Older Female Dirt Horse.

Jack Christopher (G1W)

Purchased for $135,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October Yearling Sale, Jack Christopher broke his maiden on Travers Day in Saratoga by 8 3/4 lengths, becoming a TDN ‘Rising Star’ in the process for owners Jim Bakke and Gerald Isbister. In just his second start, Jack Christopher took the G1 Champagne at Belmont Park by 2 3/4 lengths for Bakke and Isbister, along with new owners Coolmore and Peter Brant, earning a 102 Beyer Speed Figure in the process, the highest for any 2yo since 2017.

Jack Christopher picked up in 2022 where he left off in 2021, capturing the G2 Pat Day Mile by an easy 3 3/4 lengths on Kentucky Derby day to kick off his 3yo campaign. “Jack” would notch his second G1 win in the Woody Stephens on Belmont Stakes day, recording a 107 Beyer Speed Figure while winning by 10 lengths. After a 3rd place finish in the G1 Haskell, Jack Christopher returned to sprinting, capturing his third G1 win when taking the H. Allen Jerkens while recording a 104 Beyer Speed Figure.

Jack Chrstopher was retired to Coolmore’s Ashford Stud at the end of his 3yo season, where he will stand his first season at stud in 2023.

Goodnight Olive (G1W)

Purchased for $170,000 from the Fasig-Tipton October Yearling Sale in 2019, Goodnight Olive made her stakes debut a winning one, scoring in the G1 Ballerina, beating Champion Female Sprinter as well as fellow G1 winner Bella Sofia. Goodnight Olive capped a perfect 2022 season with a comprehensive win in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, wrapping up divisional honors along the way.

Goodnight Olive continued her winning streak in her first start of 2023, taking the G1 Madison at Keeneland, marking her 3rd consecutive G1 win. After an unlucky 3rd place finish in the G1 Derby City Distaff, Goodnight Olive got back to her winning ways in the G2 Bed o’ Roses at Belmont Park in the spring of her 5yo season. After a 2nd place finish in the G1 Ballerina which saw her earn a 108 Beyer Speed Figure, she would cap off her 5yo season by taking the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint for the second consecutive year. Three days later, she sold for $6,000,000 at Fast-Tipton’s November Night of the Stars to John Stewart.

A BSW/Crow Public Auction Purchase on the Euro Venture’s first foray to the Tattersalls October Yearling sale, Aunt Pearl was purchased for 280,000 guineas out of Book1. She would make an immediate impact on the American racing scene when becoming a TDN ‘Rising Star’ with a 5 length success in her debut over the CD turf course. Making her stakes debut in the G2 Jessamine at KEE, she ran in similar fashion, going gate to wire in a 2 1/2 length success. Sent off as the favorite in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, she ran just as she had in her two prior races, recording another front running score while never seriously being challenged, beating a classy group of fillies by 2 1/2 lengths in the end.

Purchased from the October Fasig-Tipton Yearling Sale for $40,000 by BSW/Crow, British Idiom went undefeated in her 2-year-old season. While impressively breaking her maiden at Saratoga, British Idiom went on to win the G1 Darley Alcibiades which earned her a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. She then went on to win the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies for owners The Elkstone Group, Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb and Bethlehem Stables LLC and trainer Brad Cox, closing out her season as Champion 2-Year-Old Filly of 2019.

Leofric (G1W)

A BSW/Crow public auction purchase for $100,000 as a maiden from the 2016 Keeneland November Sale, Leofric went on to earn just shy of $1,000,000 in his 11 starts for new owner Steve Landers.

While he has never finished out of the money under trainer Brad Cox, LEOFRIC really rounded into form midway through 2018 year when he picked up his first Graded Stakes win in the G3 West Virginia Governors Cup. He then went on to finish a good 3rd the the G1 Woodward, win the G2 Fayette at Keeneland and earned his first G1 win in the Clark H. at Churchill this November. He is now standing at stud in New York.
